It’s such a privilege to offer a nurturing girl’s group for your daughter where she can meet new friends and have fun whilst preparing for her teen years. Your daughter will join a Girls Journeying Together group (ages 10 to 12) where every girl is welcomed and celebrated just as she is. The girls are supported through the transition to secondary school, and helped to feel at ease with themselves at a time when they experience a lot of change both inside and out.
The group meets monthly for a year and through fun activities, your daughter will gain lasting confidence in areas including;
- Knowing what to expect and feeling comfortable in her changing body
- Trusting her feelings and learning how to manage them
- Tuning into her inner compass
- Being a good friend and choosing the kind of friendships she wants
You will join a mother’s circle giving you a valuable network of other women all navigating parenthood through this transitional time. Doing so also deepens your own relationship with your growing daughter.
We can all remember the challenges of adolescence, and we’re increasingly aware of the complex world our daughters are growing up in today. In Girls Journeying Together your daughter will discover a safe space where each girl is encouraged to embrace being herself, connect with her inner sense of knowing and build strength and resilience. This is a truly powerful foundation, and she will carry the journey she makes in girls’ group into her future, making lasting friendships along the way. It’s certainly something I know I would have really benefitted from.
My purpose is to support girls and women to navigate change with confidence, self-trust and compassion, and I can’t think of any work more fitting, fulfilling or joyful. I’m deeply proud to be part of Rites for Girls, an organisation whose mission is to change the world, one girl at a time.
I live in Sussex with my husband, our two inspiring children, a son and a daughter, and two exuberant but very cuddly dogs. I bring a background in Psychology, Education and Technology, alongside my lived experience as a mother, which strongly informs the way I hold and guide girls’ groups.
I have a lot of energy and curiosity for life. I love learning and being outdoors in nature, from woodland walks to wild swimming, and I’m nourished by yoga and meditation. These practices shape the grounded, nurturing space I create for the girls and for the mothers who walk alongside them.
You and your daughter are warmly invited to a free taster session, where she can experience Girls Journeying Together for herself and decide whether it feels right for her. Click the Free Taster button to find out more.
